Dr. David M. Mouser

Dr. David Mouser grew up in Normal, Illinois on a grain farm, and attended Unit 5 schools.  He began his career at Tri-Valley in 1997. He served Tri-Valley as a teacher, coach, FFA advisor, and high school principal prior to becoming the superintendent in 2014.  As a teacher, he was very proud of the Tri-Valley Agriculture program earning the top gold emblem chapter award in 1998. His favorite accomplishment as a building principal was working with his staff to earn the prestigious National Blue Ribbon award in 2010 for Tri-Valley High School.


Dr. Mouser holds bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Illinois in Agricultural Education.  He completed his principal and superintendent certification programs through Illinois State University.  His doctorate in Educational Leadership was earned through Western Illinois University in May of 2014.


Dr. Mouser lives in district, and is married to Amie Mouser who serves as the district media specialist.  They have two children that attend Tri-Valley schools. When not working with students, teachers, and board members, Dr. Mouser can be found spending time with his family watching the St. Louis Cardinals, the Chicago Bears, the St. Louis Blues, or the Fighting Illini.
